Assurity Exam Limits

From Assurity:
In regards to tax returns, we are aware that there will likely be delays in obtaining 2019 returns, with the extension that has been given.  We will do our best to work with everyone on cases that would require tax returns—in most instances, we will be able to use 2018 returns if the 2019 returns have not been filed yet.  As far as the exam/labs, if an individual lives in an area where paramedical services are not available due to COVID-19, we will reduce the benefit to non-medical limits so we can still get the applicant coverage now (if they are insurable) and then allow a reissue when paramedical services becomes available for the higher benefit (again, if they qualify).  In regards to medical records, we do not anticipate a delay in obtaining the records at this time.  Our vendor has assured us they continue to be full-staffed and processing requests as normal.  Most of the records we obtain come electronically, so do not require an individual at the doctor’s office to manually copy records, which helps in this situation.  Please let us know if you have any further questions.
